The largest pills are big lol. The biggest size of pill I've seen. If you have a hard time swallowing big pills, take them one a time.

I was just wondering how big the suppliments are.
I have a hard time swallowing big pills. Also I need to lose around 30 lbs., will it be a waste of money. Should I look at other plans instead?

Thanks

Hello Shannon. That's why this site is here. To give potential users an honest review. I've been using the products since last year and I'm here to tell ya they really do work. I've lost close to 60lbs now and still going. Yes, it's expensive. Yes, *some* of the UWL clinics have pushy salesman-like reps. All you need to do is smile and say you ONLY want to take the basic supplements, thank you very much. Tell them straight out you don't respond well to pushy salesman-like tactics, thank you very much. Yeah, they must get a commission on top of their wage, but generally, I do think the majority of them really do want to be helpful. I've come across a few ladies that really rubbed me wrong. I tend to email them ahead of time when I need product to make it implicitly clear that this is exactly what I want/need and no more. I also email them my journal weekly and go in only once a week. But that's me, and it works for me. I have a busy lifestyle and don't have time to sit and chit-chat every other day. Some people need to go in 3x a week for coaching, and that's great. Not me, I'm on a mission (to lose this weight) and I don't want to spend any more time driving back and forth from here to there than I absolutely need to.

So hey, take the salesmanship in stride and keep your eyes on the prize (your losing the weight). The supplements and program really DOES work. The recipes are quick, easy AND yummy. Drink your water, take the supplements and the pounds shed off. Really.

hey there! i just stumbled across this webpage. i like to do a lot of research on programs before i commit to them. there was a reply left by dave up near the top about pressure tactics. i totally agree that yeaterday when i went in for my consultation he really pushed me at the end of it. a one hour consultaion turned into a 3 hr one in which i had other obligations that i missed out on because of his pressure tactics. i understand that people need to get paid, and like you said, they probably get great commission off of it. I am gonna speak with them today because now i feel like theirs something up and am starting to second guess this clinic. i really want to do the program, but that approach is the wrong way to go about it. he persisted to the point where i couldnt leave until i made a small payment. It is very easy for these people to pick on people who are vulnerable. who have had stuggle and who have low self esteem. I openly went in there and opened up to them. i felt that he never really listened or undertsood me. yet again, another pushing sales tactic. these people have to become a little more sensible. anyhow, i go in today to discuss the meal plans payment plans etc with them. i am gonna give him a peice of my mind too.. based on his response, we'll see if i join.

Tyra, glad to hear you are doing so well. I too didn't do much exercise to start. It's not unusual. NOW they are nagging and bullying me to do more, but not to begin with. I've recently started a new job - high stress one at that. And have not had the ambition to do more than just get myself home to some peace and quiet after long days dealing with angry people. Emotionally exhausted, I just don't have anything extra for exercise. But I'm still losing weight in spite of not doing exercise. So if it ain't broke ...

Try the message board I just installed. Hope to see you there. Best Weight Loss Forums

Hi Shannon, I just noticed that this blog site has a weighloss forum. That got me excited because now I can talk to others who are working this wonderful program. Yes, it's expensive but I look at it this way... I'm investing myself in becoming a more healier happier me. I mean business this time. Just fed up with being obese and have hit that bottom... because now that I'm at my lowest point in my weightloss battle of the bulge... I can start taking care of myself for real. Being obese for the first time in my life is so surreal for me. My BMI is around 33 and should be at least 22. So you can see that this uweightloss program is essensial to my well-being and good health. Hey, the support from the coachs is awesome!!!

Just wanted you to know... ;) HUGS

Hi Shannon, I just joined U recently and also experienced the pressure to sign. I guess it goes with the territory. But, I'm at an all time low [bottom] and need to lose 78 lbs. I'm worried about my health, getting a heart attack and/or stoke, and plan to stick to the plan to achieve my goal(s). Phase 1 isn't easy, but I need to learn to plan my meals ahead of time. Good thing that I don't have any problem taking the supplements. Yes, the program is not cheap but I believe it's worth the effort. The only thing is that I wish their website had a forum/board support group(s) to help with the times I'm away from the clinic. What do you think? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks ;)

Hi Shannon,

I am in week 4 of the program. I didn't have a lot of weight to lose but those stubbron last 15 pounds. I have lost the weight in the past on my own but had lost my motivation and over the last three years gained back 15 of the 30 pounds I lost. So I knew I could lose the weight on my own but just couldn't find the motivation again. I got upset with myself for not being able to keep up a healthy routine of eating and excercising. Therefore, I thought money will motivate me as spending money to lose the weight will force me to try and stick to it.

I agree the program is expensive but I thought maybe with their help I will get to the weight I want and feel better about myself, which is priceless. My total start up cost was $800 (included start up fee and 3 months maintainence) plus I pay approximately $115 in supplements per week as I am in my weight loss phase having vitamins twice a day(U Loss and Metobolic Booster). I spent a lot of money my first month on groceries as many of the ingredients I didn't have. The second month will be cheaper as I won't need to buy everything all over again.

So far the only exercise they have encouraged is 'steps.' I wear a pedometer and they check it every time I go in. My goal is between 7,000-10,000 steps per day. They said in week 6 we will talk more about exercise but for now they want me to get use to the program.

I was not much of a cook before this so I was worried about cooking my own food. However, the recipes are very simple, give detailed instructions and for the most part use simple ingredients. I think that is the most valuable thing I will take out of this program and is worth the money. I will be able to maintain my goal weight with what I have learned about a balanced way of eating and the effects food has on the body. There is such a wide range of recipes that you don't have to eat the same thing week after week. Although, you do have your favorites and the great thing is they are on the program and you don't have to feel guilty about eating them.

I was a big diet pop drinker and deep fried fast food person. So giving that up has been a stuggle as it is so easy and convient. However, after the detox week I felt better about myself and healthier, not as bloated in the mid section. With feeling better has reduced my cravings for the wrong types of food.

I have lost 6 3/4 pounds my first three weeks and 5 1/4 of that weight was in my first week of detox. It will be a slow and steady journey to my goal but I know if I continue what I am doing I will get there. Also, during my journey I will be slowly changing my lifestyle and making permanent changes with my eating and that is what will keep the wieght off.

I wish everyone luck with their own journey. I am not a sales person for U Weight Loss but I know they are helping and teaching me to get to my goals. Therefore, it is worth the money to me to invest in myself and my health.
